We’re excited to announce that IT Support RI has passed our first Cyber Hygiene Assessment! The assessment was conducted by the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). CISA is a new United States federal agency that operates under the Department of Homeland Security.
CISA conducted a Cyber Hygiene Assessment of IT Support RI’s internet facing networks and hosts. The purpose of the assessment is to scan and detect any known vulnerabilities that could be present within our network. We will continue to receive this assessment on a weekly basis in order to search for any new cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
We’re on an elite list! There aren’t many IT companies that have the Department of Homeland Security checking their overall cybersecurity and health once a week!

About Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency
In November 2018, the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency Act was passed. This piece of legislation re-branded the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) as the CISA. Prior to the passage of the bill, NPPD managed almost all the Department of Homeland Security’s cybersecurity-related matters.
